Welcome to the
home page of KNS Racing, the 2004 Cajon Speedway Bomber Stock Champions!
2006 is a new year, a new team with Mike
Atkinson and MAR Motorsports, but the same drive and spirit of KNS Racing!
KNS Racing was established in February 2002, in memory of Krystle Nicole Seiler. Driver
Brian Fitzgibbons, with the support of his crew, family and friends, brought this retired 1967 Chevelle back to life and made
his debut in June of that year. With only a 1/2 season on the books, he was honored with Rookie of the Year and Best
Appearing Car awards by his racing peers.
In 2003, Brian and the team took to the
track with a fiery vengeance. Suffering a near season-ending crash in June, and with only 6 days to fix her, the
crew totaled 250+ man hours rebuilding the car and returned to the track without missing a step. At the end
of the season, and with 2 feature wins on record, the team held strong and was able to pull off a strong 6th place
division finish, Most Improved Driver award, 100% Participation award, and again the Best Appearing Car award for
their efforts.
2004 started with a fresh paint scheme,
and an eye on the big prize. It was a hard fought battle all season for the top 5 cars, but as the weeks wound down,
it came down to the two most consistent and competitive drivers. When the checkers fell on the final race, Brian and
KNS Racing had taken the coveted Bomber Stock division title,
100% Participation Award for 2 years, along with their 3rd consecutive Best Appearing Car award.
2005 brought new challenges to KNS Racing.
Excited to defend the 2004 championship, hopes were shattered as news came that Cajon Speedway had closed despite
promises of a 2005 season. After checking budgets and talking to sponsors, Orange Show Speedway became the new home
for the 2004 Champ and crew. Changes were made to the old iron maiden, and even though she didn't match the competitions
horsepower, Brian and the KNS crew pulled of 3 trophy dash wins and a 9th place division finish, after only racing 5 races.
The 2006 season is winding down and the MAR Motorsports/KNS Racing partnership
is looking at an 8th place division finish as well as Brian capturing the Rookie of the Year honors. We want to thank all the sponsors, friends, and family who have stuck it out,
stood behind us and cheered us on since the start...it couldn't have been done without you.
